Hailie Deegan is not someone who will be affected by the criticism she faces, especially from the ones who lack professional experience.
Deegan has been considered one of the promising young drivers in NASCAR. While her career was showing a steady rise, and ahead of this season it was even rumored that she would ride full-time in the Xfinity Series. However, that was not this but she is still competing full-time in the Truck Series.

And in her learning years, the 22-year-old driver has to face a lot of criticism, sometimes positive and sometimes unjustified and negative. And for these situations, Deegan makes sure to filter the criticism from people who haven’t earned her respect.
“I take veterans’ opinions for sure; people that have earned my respect. I do take their criticism and think about it. But people that are not racing, have never driven a car and their only experience behind the wheel is going 65 miles per hour on a freeway, Interstate. I don’t really take their opinions.
The ThorSport Racing driver also added that she enjoys blocking people with negative comments in her social media.
“I appreciate the ones that support me. I do look at supportive comments and stuff like that. My favorite thing to do is blocking people that say negative things about me.
“If you went through my block list on Instagram probably thousands of people because I just enjoy it.
Deegan is currently 17th in the Truck playoff standings. She has one top-10 finish so far this season.
