The Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Series not only has a lot of on-track action but plenty of drama outside it. And both of these come from the on-track aggression of some drivers.
SRX announces that Paul Tracy has been suspended for his role in causing a wreck during Thursday night’s race at Pulaski County Motorsports Park.
Tracy length of the suspension was not disclosed.
The Tony Stewart founded Series has drawn plenty of attention since it began in 2021. Now in its third year, the series maintains its norm of bringing drivers from different racing disciplines to compete against each other.
“Now it’s come up to the Cup Series” – Kyle Busch blames young drivers “Dirty and Greedy” racing style for aggressive Cup races
Schrader threatens to quit SRX after being victimized by Tracy again
However, the coming together of former NASCAR driver Ken Schrader and former Indycar driver Paul Tracy didn’t go very smoothly. After getting in a wreck involving Tracy, Newgarden, Andretti and Deegan with 10 laps to go in Thursday’s race at Pulaski County (Va.) Motorsports Park, Schrader declared that he won’t race in the series again if Tracy is involved.
“I’m pretty sure green (Tracy) had black (Newgarden) shoved into the outside wall. I’m not running another race with him. I’m done.”
Tracy, on his part, didn’t agree with Schrader’s outlook on the incident.
It’s not the first time that the two drivers are involved in a crash. They were also involved in the first race of the season at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Stewart was also not satisfied with the crash and demanded that such aggression be reduced.
“Quit having the guys that are tearing cars up from coming back,” Stewart said. “I haven’t seen any of the stuff. Luckily it was all behind me. Sounds like it’s the same cast of characters.”

Stewart hasn’t inclined toward any driver yet but he probably wouldn’t pit the two drivers together again.
