NASCAR has issued one of its largest penalties in history to Stewart-Haas Racing’s No. 14 driver Chase Briscoe.
The fine includes a deduction of 120 pts to the driver and 25 playoff points, along with a $250k fine. Additionally, crew chief Johnny Klausmeier has been suspended for six weeks.

The fine was due to the team running a counterfeit underwing/modified duct.
Specifically, looks like the issue was an engine panel duct that was a counterfeit part. NASCAR says modifying the size of the duct could help a team create more downforce.

Briscoe finished 20th in the race. His car was taken to the R&D Center after the race.
