NASCAR has suspended Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott for one race after wrecking Denny Hamlin at Charlotte.

HMS confirmed that Corey LaJoie will replace Chase Elliott in the No. 9 car this weekend at Gateway.

The team also said they will *not* appeal Elliott’s suspension and they will request a playoff waiver.
