Kyle Larson’s wife Katelyn Larson voiced her disappointment towards Denny Hamlin’s move against her husband at Kansas Speedway.

The Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 driver had a fantastic race and it seemed like he would get his third win of the 2023 Cup Series season. However, Hamlin, who was vying for his first win of the season, nudged Larson in the final lap of the race, thereby clearing the path for him to take the lead and win the race.

It was Hamlin’s first win in the last 33 starts.

After the race, Katelyn voiced her concern for her husband and sarcastically twisted the words “Actions Hypocrital” after the race.

It referred to the podcast “Actions Detrimental” that Hamlin hosts. Hamlin has been very vocal about the lack of etiquette in drivers and the aggressiveness some drivers have, especially Ross Chastain, in his podcast. However, given that it was him that was aggressive this time led Katelyn to criticize him this way.

“I was trying to side-draft him and clipped his left rear,” Hamlin said of the last-lap pass. “I’m glad he was able to finish.”

Kyle Larson was able to finish second in the race, his fifth top-five finish of the season.

“I was really loose,” Larson said. “He was able to finally get my inside off two. It seemed he was side-drafting me aggressively. I don’t know if he finally got me turned sideways, but turned me into the outside wall and he got the win.”

While Larson could not add to his win, he still has two wins for the season. His five top-five finishes are also the joint highest in the series. He will be disappointed to let a win slip in the last lap, but he will be vying for wins again soon.
