It is the second time in a row that 23XI Racing’s driver Bubba Wallace crashed early in the race in the NASCAR Cup Series.

It didn’t start well for Wallace at the Circuit of the Americas as he crashed into Kyle Larson on lap 11 of the race. As Wallace hit turn 12, it seemed that his brakes failed and he ended up hitting Kyle Larson.

As a result, it destroyed the front of Wallace’s No. 23 car. Wallace admitted that he has been making rookie mistakes for the last two weeks.

“Broke toe link in the rear and then the oil line. Just trying my hardest not to go down that slippery slope of self-doubt here. Two weeks in a row making rookie mistakes, six years in the Cup? Need to be replaced.”

Wallace was referring to the last week’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway where he also crashed in lap 10 of the race.

The crash sums up Wallace’s poor run on road courses. It is the fifth time in the last seven road courses that Wallace had a DNF.
