The Daytona 500 broadcasted only a modest decrease in ratings and viewership however, that was still enough to make it one of the least-watched ever since it began.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. who was on a winless run for over a year won the 2023 Daytona 500, but  fans’ were frustrated regarding the commercials during the race.

The total viewership of this season’s Daytona 500 was down by 8% compared to 2022.

There were a number of ridiculous commercial breaks during Fox Sports broadcast of “The Great American Race” leaving fans all over the place, groaning about the Daytona 500 coverage.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. pointed fingers towards the announcers during his podcast Dale Jr. Download he indicated that the producers sometimes pursue the announcer’s opinion regarding the Cup Series break.
