Social media is not always a nice space for drivers from different backgrounds as many still continue abusing their right to speech by racially attacking others at will.

NASCAR as an organization has been trying to raise awareness and equality among members of different communities. Nonetheless, the effort doesn’t always bear results as some people never seem to change.

Hispanic Truck and Xfinity series driver Ryan Vargas was on the receiving end of such abuses on social media. He shared his disappointment to be targeted for his race and craniofacial disorder on Twitter.

“I hate some people, man. Not only coming after my race but making fun of my facial appearance. Sorry, I can’t control that. I have a craniofacial disorder that affects 1 in every 2,000-3,000 people. Whatever. Sick of the disrespect and hate. This world sucks sometimes,” Ryan Vargas tweeted.

Having been on the receiving end of such abuses many times in his NASCAR career, Bubba Wallace came in support of his fellow NASCAR driver and suggested him to not let such abuse affect him.

“I need to learn this too..but worry about what YOU can control.. you can’t control these types of people. In a polite way.. forget them! You do you homie,” Wallace tweeted.

Wallace is not the only NASCAR professional to support Vargas as many others came forward to encourage the Xfinity and Truck driver to continue doing what he is doing.
