Last month a source at Richard Childress Racing verified that the team owner remains “furious” at Tyler Reddick after he chose to leave RCD for 23XI Racing for the 2023 season.

Tyler Reddick surprisingly helped his teammate Austin Dillon for the win at Daytona despite being called out by his boss and team owner Richard Childress recently.

23XI Racing spotter, Freddie Kraft, recently revealed what he had texted 23Xi inbound Tyler Reddick following the race at Daytona last Sunday.

Unhappy Richard Childress now wants Tyler Reddick gone sooner rather than later

Freddie Kraft was referring to the situation with Reddick current team as he’s set to join 23XI Racing in the 2024 season.

“I texted Tyler last night and I said you’re a better man than I am because after all the stuff Richard has been saying for the last month after you know.”  Kraft revealed.

“I said, ‘I would have drove by his a** and then flip Richard off on the way down pit road.’”

Tyler Reddick went on to say that he did what he did for Austin Dillon, because he’s a friend and teammate.

“But there’s a lot of guys over there that, you know, I’m really happy so I’ve got a bunch of buddies on the #3 team, so there’s a lot of good people there and Tyler knows that.”

Reddick who was running P2 behind Dillon, blocked the whole field to ensure no other driver could got passed him to, challeng his teammate for the victory.

That’s not why I did it. I did it for Austin. It wasn’t even on my mind, honestly. It was trying to get my friend, my teammate, and fellow driver at RCR in the playoffs because it’s not just my group of guys that deserve it. – Reddick added.
