Legendary NASCAR driver Dale Jr. and Kyle Busch have a long history on the race track. It all  started in 2014 when Earnhardt Jr. confronted the Joe Gibbs Racing driver at Phoenix Raceway.

Since then, the two drivers have spoken and are now on good terms at least.

Last week Dale Jr. welcomed Ty Gibbs as a guest on the Dale Jr. Download Podcast and Kyle Busch name came up in a surprising way.

Ty Gibbs and Earnhardt Jr had an intriguing discussion, talking about several topics, including Gibbs’ feud with JRM driver Sam Mayer.

The 19-y-o driver shocked the hosts when he declared openly his fellow JGR teammate Kyle Busch had criticized him.

Have you ever flipped anybody off in a race car?” Earnhardt Jr. asked him.

“Yes,” Gibbs promptly replied. “I learned that — Kyle told me not to do that anymore.”

“Kyle who?” the host inquired.

“Busch,” Ty Gibbs said.

“I was on live TV. It was at Martinsville. Lappers,” the driver started.

“Did he tell you that he’s also flipped people off?” Earnhardt added.

“Uh, no,” Ty Gibbs said while nodding his head.

“He’s a bit of a hypocrite, I guess,” Dale Jr. told the Gibbs.

Earnhardt Jr. retired from full-time racing in 2017, after 18 full-time Cup Series seasons, 26 wins, and countless “Most Popular Driver” honors.

Initial to that, he won back-to-back Busch Series (now Xfinity) championships in 1998-99.
