Larson missed the ceremony due to race with the World of Outlaws, where he had a dominant victory at Port Royal Speedway.
“It is already a great honor to be nominated, but if I were to win and beat the Formula 1 world champion and the other champions as well. It would just be a huge honor.”Larson said after discovering he was nominated.
Many racing fans especially F1 supporters is of the opinion that Larson didn’t deserve to the “Best Driver” award.
