Most is not all NASCAR Truck Series drivers dream is to make the big step towards the Cup Series. However, they need to first progress and compete fairly good in the Xfinity series to achieve that.
Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan had high hopes to compete in few races in the Xfinity series this season. According to her recent comments this seems very unlikely to happen this year.
Funding have been a major issue for the 20-y-o to acquire sponsors and someone who’s willing to put money into a unproven driver.

Deegan opened up on her struggles to get a Xfinity ride in a recent interview with Bob Pockrass.
“It’s tough trying to get funding midway through the season. Or, trying to figure things out for potential end of the year deals, for at least me in these situations.”- Said Deegan
We’re working on it, trying to do what we can.” However, there is not much for her to vouch on, “There’s nothing we have set in stone at all right now. It’s all just kind of seeing what we could possibly do in the future.”

“I wish I had answers since I want answers myself, but nothing set yet.”
Deegan said she will have to start being more aggressive and racing others the way they race her without concern for consequences, she also suggested that NASCAR could step in and reduce some of the careless driving.
