Joey Logano beat Kyle Busch in an intense overtime battle at Gateway however it couldn’t help but be reminded of the famous feud both of the drivers had in 2017.
Nascar fans could have possibly witness a repeat of the Las Vegas feud if the two had made contact.
When asked why they didn’t make contact OT on Sunday Logano revealed that both driver has respect for each other despite their past.

“We have all but one time,” Logano said about his history of racing dirty with Kyle Busch. “But outside of that, we’ve never really had a bunch of controversy around us. I can’t say we like each other. But we seem to have respect for each other’s abilities, and the way we race.”
“We both race each other hard, we’re not scared to bump each other a little bit, we rub doors a little, there’s gonna be a little contact there, but nothing that’s probably outside the line. And I think because of that we run each other hard, we don’t give each other slack,” Logano added.

Logano who defeated Kyle Busch for the victory, following the race explained how he felt during the tense battle for the win in the first Cup Series race at Gateway.
“Racing for the lead like that with Kyle, one of the best,” Logano said. “It was a lot of fun. Crossing each other back and forth. I knew it was coming. I did it to him; I knew he was going to do it to me.”
