Lewis Hamilton has been racing in F 1 since 2007. His most recent contract with the Mercedes AMG F1 team expires at the end of the 2023 campaign.

No announcement was made from either party regarding a contract extension and their desire to continue beyond 2023.

Trackhouse Racing’s co-owner Justin Marks recently revealed that he would love to have the Mercedes driver in NASCAR driving for his team.

During a Q/A AMA with the fans via social media, Trackhouse Racing  co- owner Marks was asked what other drivers would he like to join NASCAR.

He said, “I’d love to have Valentino Rossi or Lewis Hamilton or Daniel Ricciardo.”

When asked who his dream target is, he had one word, “Hamilton.”

Lewis Hamilton showed an interest in NASCAR back in 2016. The 37-y-o had revealed that one day he would really like to try driving and competing in NASCAR.

“The race was 267 laps – really long – but I thoroughly enjoyed it, trying to understand the strategy and the differences between the cars. It was neat. It made me want to drive one – I really fancy a race in a NASCAR one day. I’m not sure I’d do an oval, but possibly a street circuit or road course,” said Lewis.
