I’ll keep going and I’ll go bigger every time. That was the response from Joey Logano on Saturday at Kansas when asked if Byron feels like he owes Logano one.
The feud with Hendrick Motorsports driver, William Byron started after Logano had bumped Byron out of the lead for the victory at Darlington last weekend , a move justified by Logano calling it a payback for when Bryon allegedly shoved him into the wall earlier in the race.
Logano sent a warning message to the No. 24 indicating to him that it’s best to avoid any further feud between the two.
“If he wants to keep going back and forth, I’ll keep swinging. I don’t think that’s a good play for him in the long run … He can keep going. But I can promise you I’ll keep going and I’ll go bigger every time.”
It all unfolded when the two cars entered turn 3 with just two laps remaining at Darlington Raceway, Logano’s No. 22 Ford hit the bumper of Byron’s No. 24 Chevrolet. As a result, Bryon’s car smacked the wall, which ruled him out of not just contention for the victory but he could only manat a 13th place finish.
William Byron doesn’t feel that him and Joey Logano are “even”
William Byron says his view of the Darlington finish hasn’t changed. He doesn’t feel that him and Joey Logano are “even” but wouldn’t characterize it as him owing Logano one back. pic.twitter.com/GeofXexqqF

“I mean, we were really close off of (Turn) 2 and I think it spooked him and got him tight, and he was right against the wall and I got the lead,” said Byron, who ended up finishing 13th. “He’s just an idiot. He does this stuff all the time. I’ve seen it with other guys.
“He drove in there 10 miles an hour too fast, and with these Next Gen cars, he slammed me so hard it knocked the whole right side off the car and no way to make the corner.
“Yeah, he’s just a moron. He can’t win a race so it does it that way.”
Byron was of the opinion that he made almost no contact with Logano. Following the race, he called out Logano as an “idiot”.
