Due to persistent rain conditions, the NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway has been postponed until Monday.

Only 78 laps of the 400 scheduled laps in the race could be completed before the race was red-flagged. Defending champion Kyle Larson led while his Hendrick Motorsports Chase Elliott followed him in the second position and Ryan Blaney in third.

Even with track-drying efforts, NASCAR competition officials decided to postpone the race to Monday noon as the rain persisted. The race will be aired on airing on FS1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Chris Buescher started from the pole and kept the lead for 18 laps before Denny Hamlin took over the lead position. Hamlin led the most laps, 55. But a pit stop just before the red flag meant that he would have to start the rescheduled race in the 8th position.

Alex Bowman is the defending winner in the last edition of the race, with Hendrick Motorsports securing 1-2-3-4 finish.
