NASCAR along side Hendrick Motorsports made an interesting announcement on Thursday regarding fielding a modified Next Gen car at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans .
A partnership between HMS and sanctioning body will put a modified NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 car into the field for the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time since 1976.
NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports and Chevrolet will field a modified Next Gen car at 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. Expected to be the single-car “Garage 56” entry. First time since 1976 NASCAR car at Le Mans.

According to the official announcement, the entry will be the special “Garage 56 entry”. Garage 56, was introduced in 2012, is a special single-entry class, which is reserved for innovative cars.

NASCAR/Hendrick will enter a modified Next Gen car in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. The "Garage 56" entry, which requires an invite that's expected to be a formality, competes as an exhibition participant to highlight new technology. Chad Knaus will manage program. Drivers TBA.
