Hendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman got one over his fellow teammate Kyle Larson in a close two-lap shootout with a strong run heading into the final turn, winning the Pennzoil 400 Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Alex Bowman got his shot for the victory when there was a caution with three laps to go changed the outcome of the race from a two of Joe Gibbs Racing cars to two the Hendrick Motorsports teammates.
Joe Gibbs driver Kyle Busch and teammate Martin Truex Jr. were in a lap-by-lap head to head for the win until the 12th caution ended their hopes.
Busch finished fourth in his backup Toyota after wrecking in Saturday afternoon practice when the tire went flat on him.

The 36-y-o two time NASCAR Cup Series champion went on to harshly criticize the HMS driver Alex Bowman right after his victory over his in car radio at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
