Towards the closing stages in the Daytona 500, Team Penske driver Austin Cindric got into a tangle with his Penske teammate Ryan Blaney en route to his first career Cup win.
While both Team Penske drivers were running 1-2, Blaney didn’t try to make a move to the outside of Cindric until maybe a little late, and Cindric blocked him, pushing Ryan Blaney into the wall and causing him to wreck and ruined any chance for Blaney to win.
A raging Blaney yelled, “I’m going to f***ing kill that kid“. Clearly, this was utter in the heat of the moment.

Despite not winning the race, Ryan Blaney had a very decent day at Daytona. His last gasp advance to come out in front was resolutely defended by Cindric and Blaney had to settle for the fourth place.

Blaney didn’t want to get into the “fair or foul” discussion.
“I don’t know,” Blaney said. “Congrats to him, I guess. You’ve got to throw a block in that situation.”
As expected his frustration quickly faded, it was obvious when Blaney went to congratulate teammate Austin Cindric for winning his first race, and the Daytona 500.
