Dale Earnhardt Jr. was officially inducted into the Hall Of Fame on Friday and he had a lot of people from the NASCAR community congratulating him.

Earnhardt Jr. was inducted along with Red Farmer and the late Mike Stefanik as the class of 2021. Among the highlight of Earnhardt Jr.’s speech was:

“I was a mechanic at a dealership. That was my destiny — or so I thought,” Earnhardt continued after congratulating Farmer and the Stefanik family.

“You guys remember at all the Chevrolet dealerships, if you drove a GM product, you’d go to the 29 minutes or less quick lube? Y’all remember that? Well I could do it in eight. …

“And I think I only forgot to put the oil filter on one. That was funny when I drove it back out into the lot, all the oil poured out of it. And that’s not why I got fired from that job. We’ll talk about that another day.”

While Earnhardt Jr. might not be the most successful driver on the race track, he certainly had a huge fan following not just from the fans but within the NASCAR community as well. And it was evident as the community poured in a lot of congratulatory messages for him.

Congratulations to Dale Jr. from our side too. And thanks for all the years he has contributed to NASCAR and all the years to come.
