There is no news as to whether Team Penske will return to NASCAR Xfinity Series in the 2022 season.
The driver of Team Penske’s No. 22 entry, Austin Cindric is set to move to the Cup Series in a full-time role from 2022. Having spent four years with the team in the Xfinity Series, Cindric won everything there is to win in the series.
In the last three seasons, Cindric won 13 races, including the Xfinity Series championship in the 2020 season. Along with that season, Cindric also competed in the Championship 4 race in the 2021 season. He finished second to Daniel Hemric.

However, rather than looking for a new driver for the No. 22 car, Team Penske might decide to opt-out of the Xfinity Series. Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass tweeted that there are no official plans about Team Penske returning to full-time Xfinity racing for the next season.

If Team Penske decide to not run in the Xfinity in a full-time capacity, they could still run part-time but that too has not been confirmed yet.
Cindric was supposed to replace Matt DiBenedetto in the No. 21 Ford at the Team Penske-affiliated Wood Brothers Racing in the Cup Series. However, with Brad Keselowski leaving Team Penske for RFK Racing, Team Penske decided to give him Keselowski’s No.2 instead. DiBenedetto will be replaced by Harrison Burton.
