Bubba Wallace is not just a good Cup Series driver, but also an exemplary figure in the NASCAR industry.

The 23XI Racing driver showed last season his leadership nature in leading the charge for the ban of the Confederate flag from NASCAR and raised his voice on a number of occasions against racial injustice and inequality.

Recently, he spoke about giving back to the Charlotte community through his Live to Be Different Foundation.

“We’ve done a lot with my foundation in the last couple of weeks. Especially around Thanksgiving, giving back to families for thanksgiving and putting together our toy drive.

“This kind of ties on all doing the same – giving back.

“That’s what it’s all about when you get to a certain level in your career. And for me, it feels like the awesome and right thing to do.”

Wallace ended the 2021 season on a good note with his first Cup Series race victory. It was also 23XI and Michael Jordan’s first victory as a Cup Series team owner in NASCAR. Having spent a year working under Jordan, Wallace can now firmly say that he has become a better competitor.

“Just seeing his competitive edge, his competitive nature, and how he as a person just totally motivates you and moves you to greater heights, to be the best you can be,” he said.

Wallace will be expected to not just maintain his 2021 standards but to improve manyfold in the 2022 season and push for a playoffs place.
