After a successful 2021 season, NASCAR is already gearing up for the next season. The last two years have been very challenging for everyone in sports due to the pandemic. NASCAR received widespread praise for the way it handled the sport during the time of the pandemic, from handling the measures to changing tracks to fit the requirements.
2022 season will bring with it new promises and excitement, mainly with the introduction of the Next Gen car and different venues that NASCAR will try.

In his interview, Phelps spoke about the 2021 champion Kyle Larson and the high anticipation of the 2022 season.
“I think 2022 is going to be, I think, the best season NASCAR has had in decades. I really do think that the Next Gen car, debuting that, the excitement around the Coliseum. Then onto the Daytona 500. Really some unique things, going into the World Wide Technology Raceway. Racing on Easter Sunday night on the Bristol Dirt. There are just so many exciting pieces to that.”
Phelps also said that Larson might be in for another successful season. However, whether Larson and Hendrick Motorsports can achieve their dominant feat of the 2021 season remains to be seen with the introduction of the Next Gen car Or, maybe it will give opportunities to other teams to negate their differences and challenge on equal footing. We might still be a couple of months away but the excitement for the new season is certainly growing.
