StarCom Racing has decided to sell its only NASCAR Cup Series charter after the Cup Series finale at Phoenix Raceway.

The 2021 Cup Series season has already seen a couple of charter sales but with the season coming to a close, it seems that there are still some changes going on. One such change in ownership will come from the charter of StarCom Racing.

After the confirmation of the sale, the team stated on social media:

“It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our StarCom Racing fans. After the championship this weekend, our #00 charter will take new ownership. Thank you so much to all our fans for the fun memories and loyal support over the years!”

The team entered the Cup Series in 2017 and did a full time season with Landon Cassill running the No.00 Chevrolet. He also drove for the team in 2019 before Quin Houff took over his responsibility in 2020.

While it has not been stated who will take over the ownership, it is rumored that Spire Motorsports are the buyers of the charter.
