According to Corey LaJoie, Next Gen Cars will reduce the gap between big and small teams in the NASCAR industry.
The anticipation for the Next Gen debut for the 2022 season is very high. All the teams will be in a reset mode, trying to learn the dynamics of the new car faster than other teams. Currently, the big teams hold a certain superiority due to their better equipment, but Next Gen cars will reduce this gap, LaJoie says.
Kevin Harvick to be suspended for his feud with Chase Elliott?
He was one of the drivers to make the Next Gen car test at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. After the testing, the driver posted about his feedback in his Twitter account.
“First day recap:
Everything is new.
Sequential shifters are awesome.
The cars look super cool.
There are some bugs to work out.
These cars will give small teams a MUCH bigger chance to be competitive than I anticipated.”

It seems that Next Gen cars will make more competitive and exciting than ever. However, like the other drivers that have already tested the car, many are pointing out that there are a lot of issues to be fixed.
With the 2021 season slowly closing on towards the end, Next Gen will have a big task to make the cars ready for the beginning of the next season in February 2022.
