Kevin Harvick ridicules Chase Elliott by comparing him to a 9-y-o

Kevin Harvick is still upset with Chase Elliott for costing him the victory in last weekend’s Cup series playoff race at Bristol, saying that the finish was “manipulated.”

“It was like I was talking to Keelan,” Harvick said of the heated conversations with Elliott last week. “It was identical. Like it’s 100-percent, the exact same scenario. They get hung up on one thing and you can’t speak to them about the broader picture of how the whole thing works. It was like speaking to a nine year old.”

Last weekend, Chase Elliott was racing Kevin Harvick for the lead of the race, when Harvick got loose underneath the HMS man. Harvick made contact with Elliott, which caused Elliott’s tire to cut down. As a result, Elliott went three laps off the pace.

“I care less about this confrontation than I ever have” – Chase Elliott on being called a 9-y-o by Kevin Harvick

Look, I never got past the point of the racing being manipulated,” Harvick said before Sunday’s playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “I honestly never even looked at the Larson move (for the win). What was it, two or three laps left? Anything goes at that particular point.

“When I look at the SMT data and see half throttle, and I hear the radio transmission (from Elliott’s radio) of ‘Where’s (Larson)? I’m going to help him out,’ I’m fine with however this whole outcome is, as long as it is officiated the same way when the issue is on the other foot.”
