Benedetto did not sign anything
Matt DiBenedetto has not signed a contract with Kaulig Racing. He is still looking for a team to drive next season. He was in a similar position in previous years. Next season will be his eighth in the NASCAR cup racing series. DiBenedetto is looking for a new team after it was announced that he will not be driving for the Wood Brothers next season. He will be replaced by Harrison Burton. As early as last year, there was speculation about who would replace DiBenedetto. There was talk of Austin Cindric as a potential replacement but he eventually bypassed the Wood Brothers. What is certain is that DiBenedetto will drive the last race in November in Pheonix. Until then, it should be known which team he will drive for next season.
Matt DiBenedetto is the first option for Kaulig Racing?
The news that he signed for Kaulig racing turned out to be incorrect. DiBenedetto denied that information on his Twitter profile.
“The news floating around that I signed with Kaulig Racing for next year is false. Not sure how the rumor got started but I keep getting a ton of texts about it so I had to clear that up. I’ll tag @bobpockrass so he can help spread the word so I quit getting texts”.

Kaulig Racing is a team that will compete from next season. The team owned by Matt Kaulig will compete in 2022 with two cars. The said team purchased two charters from Spire Motorsports. They will also compete in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. Benedetto should sign a contract with the new team soon. Given that he has participated in the NASCAR cup series in the previous seven seasons, it will not be too much of a problem for him to find a new team. Benedetto could drive for Kaulig racing next season, but he has not signed any contract yet.
