Hamlin celebrated in an exciting thriller
Denny Hamlin managed to come away with his first win in the Nascar Cup series this season. In an exciting finale, he managed to resist the onslaught of Kyle Larson. He almost lost without a victory, but in the end, everything ended well for Hamlin. It was only a matter of time before Denny would reach his first win of the season. With this victory, he reached a total of 45 victories in his career.

“Yeah, it was a matter of time”.
“We can’t just keep leading inside 10 laps to go every week and not get a win.”
Hamlin escaped
The race was marked by a multitude of incidents experienced by numerous contenders for a high ranking in the Nascar cup series. Hamlin lead in 146 laps against Larson’s 156 out of a total of 367 laps as he drove at Darlington.
In the last round, there was a contact between Hamlin and Larson. In the end, narrowly escaped victory. The incident almost happened in the last lap, but everything ended nicely for both drivers. Larson will certainly regret it because he was very close to victory. Hamlin was certainly overjoyed after the first victory of the season.
What I love about these guys is we are a team. The driver f*#ks up more times then not but there’s no blame, we all have each other’s backs thru thick and thin. 9 weeks to go. LFG https://t.co/ethWT0WfP6

“We got to the white (flag), and I was like, ‘Well, I haven’t been able to gain on him now, I’m going to try something,’” Larson said of the desperation try he labeled a “video-game move.” “Honestly, got to his bumper too quick. I was hoping he was going to run that diamond to kind of be safe and I could skirt to his outside but gave everything I had.
“I didn’t want to wreck him. I just wanted to try to get to his outside there, but he did a great job not really making any mistakes during the last run, and I was having to push really hard in second to try and just stay with him.”
