Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch were not on good terms after the 2011 Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway.
Having come in contact while on the race track and getting his car wrecked, Harvick considered that Busch did it on purpose. His anger got a better hold of him after the race when he tried to attack Busch on pit road.
He got out of his car and tried to punch Busch who was still inside his car. Busch escaped while Harvick’s car crashed into the pit wall.
Kyle Busch was NOT called to the hauler, NASCAR to review the matter this week
Harvick was in a lot lighter mood when he spoke about the incident again in an interview.
“Things happen. I just wish I could have punched him in the nose instead of the helmet. He’s not going to get in a punching contest, cause he’s scared of that. If you’re going to do stuff like that, you’re going to have to get out and defend yourself.”
Harvick said that he doesn’t mind wrecking and getting wrecked as it is a part of racing, but it was the nature of the wreak that caused his temper to boil.
