After Denny Hamlin blocked Joey Logano at Daytona, Logano will go to the playoffs with hard feelings towards the No. 11 driver.
Logano was the best driver in terms of laps led in the Cup Series regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway. He led 37 of the 165 laps, which included winning Stage 2 and a lead with just seven laps remaining.
However, due to an incident with Hamlin and a flat right-rear tire, Logano could only finish 23rd at the end of the race.
“We had a shot to win there and the 11 just threw a late block and fenced me and then I had a right rear down,” Logano said. “Luckily, I didn‘t take out the whole field that time, but that got taken care of the next lap, so it probably wouldn‘t have mattered.”

When asked about whether he would have any hard feelings towards the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing driver in the playoffs, Logano replied:
“Absolutely.”
The good thing is that both the drivers had already booked a place in the playoffs before the race. As for Hamlin, he was competing to get his first win of the 2021 season and also to finish as a regular-season champion.
But, ultimately, he lost out to Kyle Larson for the title.
Logano is seeded ninth in the postseason field with 2013 points while Hamlin is seventh with 2015 points.
