Joey Logano is of the opinion that every driver wants to have won at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the most iconic race venues in all of motorsports and especially for IndyCar and NASCAR, just like Daytona. The value of the track is so big that every driver wants to have won at least once in their lifetime in this track, says Logano.
“Indy is as big [as Daytona], if not bigger,” Logano said. “I feel like it’s a track that everyone in the world wants to say they’ve won at. In the history of the Brickyard, it’s incredible. All you have to do is go through the museum when you’re there one day, and say ‘Wow! This is a sacred place’.
“Whether you’re on the oval or you’re on the road course or in a stock car, IndyCar or a tricycle, you want to say you’ve won at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”
Logano has not won at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and doesn’t have a good road course record. He has one win to his name, a 2015 triumph at Watkins Glen. He would certainly want to say that he has won at the track but a difficult race lies shed, given his record on road courses.
