Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 driver Kyle Larson shared that he, along with other HMS drivers, will run the UYRS Celebrity Grand Prix.
The charity event, dedicated to helping the youth find career opportunities in the motorsport world, will take place in Philadelphia on Aug. 7.
Larson revealed the message in a Twitter post.
“Join me. and the other Hendrick drivers in Philadelphia on August 7th for the Urban Youth Racing School Celebrity Grand Prix. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

One of the goals of UYRS is to “equip students to use and develop technology.” The event will be about exposing youth aged 8-18 to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) career opportunities while placing a higher emphasis on the motorsports industry.
Larson has been in sublime form in the 2021 Cup Series season. He has won four races, highest among the drivers, and sits second in the Cup Standings, 13 points behind Denny Hamlin.
And given that he missed almost all the last season’s races in the Cup Series due to suspension, his achievement this season seems more remarkable. With four races go in the Cup Series season, Larson is well poised to go far in the playoffs.
