While Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott might not have registered any wins yet, Dale Earnhardt Jr. expects them to get multiple wins this season.
These three names were the big winners from the last season. Harvick had the most wins with nine and Hamlin had seven. As for Elliott, he won the 2020 Championship.
Things haven’t gone as well for any of these drivers as all of them are still chasing their first win.
As for other winners, only Martin Truex Jr. has registered more than one win this season. Speaking about whether there will as many new winners in the upcoming races, Dale Jr. reflected on his ‘Ask Jr’ segment on the ‘Dale Jr. Download’:
“It’s not going to happen. It will take a few miracles…it takes more than a Michael McDowell at Daytona, it takes several of those to make that happen.
“There’s so many guys in the playoffs with 16 drivers that you’re never really gonna have that many winners in one season.”
Furthermore, he expects the likes of Denny, Harvick and Chase to find momentum and grab more than one wins in the coming days.
“We got to expect that at some point, Denny, Harvick, Chase, those guys, we’re going to all these road courses and will have guys starting to get those multiple wins.
“Even though Denny and Harvick, and those guys haven’t got the wins so far, I still feel like they’re 4,5,6-win teams.”
With 18 races still to go this season, it is unthinkable for these drivers to not register one win this season. While there might have been surprising winners this season, but these veterans will eventually bounce back.
