After his win at Phoenix, Austin Cindric has already registered his second win in five races so far in the 2021 Xfinity season.
This is Cindric second consecutive victory in the track, having won the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship there last season. This time, he had to beat rookie Ty Gibbs by a margin of 0.36s to take home his second victory of the 2021 season.
As the championship race of the 2021 Xfinity season will take place at the Phoenix Raceway, Cindric is already contemplating his chances of winning another championship at the end of the season there.
“You have to work hard the rest of the year to get here,” Cindric said. “So that’s where my focus is. I’ve got my name on the wall right there and the goal is to be back with a shot to do it again.’’

Justin Allgaier was still fighting for the win in the final restart with two laps to go. But, it turned out to be chaotic as cars started hitting the wall or against each other during the run. In the end, Allgaier finsihed 8th.
“Just disappointing there,’’ Allgaier said. “Once we got to his outside, I thought we had it, but he just got me out of the PJ1 and into the marbles and unfortunately it all comes up quick when you’re bumped out of the PJ1..
“I’m so proud of everyone at JR Motorsports. I learned a lot I think for when we come back here in the Fall and hopefully we’re in the Final Four.’’
