23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan is expecting Bubba Wallace to win “at least a couple races” in the 2021 season.

Before the 2021 Daytona 500, Michael Jordan spoke about the 2021 season, entering it as a team owner, and the expectations he has put on his team and driver.

While Jordan might have faced a lot of pressure and hurdles throughout his career, but the one that he will have with his Cup team will be different as the NBA legend can only watch and hope for the best.

“I’m excited. I’m nervous, even though I’m not getting in the car. The thing is, when you are getting ready to play a big game, you’re nervous but you’re in control,” Jordan said.

The NBA legend added: “It’s a different kind of nervous. Nervous when I’m on the court — once again, I can go rebound. I can go shoot. I can play defense. Here, all I can do is cheer.”

In the 2021 Daytona 500, Wallace even led the race on lap 129 but came short in the end after getting caught up in a chaotic last-lap wreck. He finished 17th in the race.

His team owner, Jordan, is expecting the No. 23 driver to learn how to win towards the latter half of the 2021 season and win a couple of races.

“I feel like he’s going to learn how to win. He’s got the talen, Jordan said.  “We would not have invested in him if he didn’t have the talent to win. By the end of the year, I think he’s going to have an opportunity and probably win at least a couple races. If it’s more, I’ll be elated.”
