2020 Champion Chase Elliott revealed that he would like to race against his dad Bill at Bristol Motor Speedway.
As the defending champion, Elliott would be the driver that every driver this season would love to race against in order to take away his crown. With the 2020 title, Elliott automatically becomes the best driver of the current bunch.
However, he has wishes to drive against the former NASCAR legends and the one driver who he wishes to go against is no other than his father and former Cup Series champion, Bill Elliott. Speaking about which, he said:
“Yeah, good question. I, you know, feel like I’d like to race against my dad, but not back in their prime. Not at the super-speedways, I know they were really fast at some of the speedways, and I know that gets talked about a lot.”
Elliott has one specific track where he would like to take his father to race against.
“But, they had some good runs on the short tracks and stuff too. I would like to try my hand against them, in their prime, at a Bristol or something like that. Think that’d be cool.”
Elliott will begin his defense of the Cup Championship with the Daytona 500 race.
