Bubba Wallace is targeting two wins in his first season with the 23XI Racing team, which set to debut this season.

Determined to make ‘household name on the racetrack’, the 23XI Racing team, co-partnered by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin has high expectations not just for the future but for their debut season as well.

The best way to do so would be winning races and competing regularly in the playoffs. Aligning himself with the team’s objective, the team’s driver Wallace is determined to win two races this season.

“I have written down in a text message two wins this year. That’s solid. That’s doable,” Wallace said.

“Looking at this year and moving forward with what we have, with Toyota, with the partnership with (Joe Gibbs Racing) and just with everything going on at 23XI Racing, there’s no reason why we can’t go out and be good and compete for wins and put ourselves in the playoffs this year.”

Wallace put in one of his best seasons till date in terms of statistics. He had a career-best five top-10 finishes in the 2021 season. However, he has not yet won a Cup race in his career. Given the racing equipment in his former team, Richard Petty Motorsports, he was not expected to win races. But, coming to 23XI Racing, with the equipment they have at their disposal, he will be judged on the number of race wins. Wallace knows the expectations that he will carry and is not afraid to hide from it.

“This is different. Everything is there. No more excuses for me. That’s the motto. All the resources, personnel, equipment, everything, you name it, it is right there to go out and capitalize on.”
