In his comeback season in the Cup Series, Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson said that the season would be a disappointment if he is not able to win.

Larson is set to return to Cup racing in the 2021 season with HMS after his suspension last season. Driving the No. 5 Chevrolet for HMS, the former Chip Ganassi Racing driver is looking to make a statement by winning races this season. Speaking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, he said:

“Be consistently finishing races in the Top 5, Top 10 and contending. Winning races! I would be very disappointed if we went all season long without a win. Really don’t think that’s the case, I think we will be able to win at some point. I hope we’re clicking at the right time.”

Larson recently secured his consecutive Chili Bowl Nationals trophy. While he has established his dirt-racing credentials in the months when he was suspended by NASCAR, he will need to prove himself again in the Cup Series.

Having already won six Cup races in his career, Larson is no stranger to winning races in the Cup Series. Additionally, driving HMS equipment will give him an edge to win races.

  1. I am so happy for Kyle Lawson. That you Mr. Hendrix for giving him another chance. He really was not treated fairly. God Bless All of You and May this year be Kyles year to win.

My wife & I seen him at attica speedway 2020. He was parked a few campers away from us & said hello when we walked by. Wish him the best & by the way he smoked everybody that night.
