Front Row Motorsports added Anthony Alfredo as the driver of its No. 38 Ford for the 2021 Cup Series season.

Along with the new recruit, the team will continue to field two drivers the team’s veteran driver, Michael McDowell. Alfredo replaces John Hunter Nemechek in the No. 38 Ford, with the driver moving to return to the Camping World Truck Series with the intention of running full-time for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

“This is really an unbelievable moment,” said Alfredo who ran 19 races in the Xfinity Series last season with Richard Childress Racing. “When you start out racing karts as a kid, you dream of making it to the sport’s top level. I want to thank Bob Jenkins and everyone at Front Row Motorsports for making this dream a reality.

“I know the challenges ahead, but I’m here to work hard and prove myself.”

Alfredo, 21, finished within the top-10 nine times in those 19 races last season.

Speaking about the move, owner Bob Jenkins said:

“We met Anthony and spent time with him when last season ended. We wanted another young driver and someone that fit well into our team. We feel that Anthony is a great match and we look forward to this season together.”

Front Row Motorsports’ new recruit has a combined 32 starts in the Xfinity and Truck series and his career-best finish of third came at Texas last season.
