For Kyle Larson, the best three NASCAR drivers are Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson.

Larson replaced Jimmie Johnson in the Hendrick Motorsports lineup for the 2021 season. The seven-time champion retired from full-time driving after the 2020 season.

Larson is set to take the wheels of No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports.

In an interview, Larson was asked about the best three NASCAR drivers for him. While his inclusion brings no surprise, the new HMS driver was disheartened to have left out Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Kyle Busch from his choice.

“Yeah I think top three for NASCAR for sure for me would be, I think Jeff up there, Tony and I hate to leave out Dale senior. But Jimmie Johnson to me is amazing. It stinks that you allowed me only three because Kyle Busch is obviously really good as well,” Larson said.

“But you know I think a lot of Jimmie, Jeff and Tony, just their styles and all that. And what they’ve done for the sport has been pretty spectacular. So those would be my three NASCAR guys.”

Larson is set to participate in the Chili Bowl Nationals tournament in January 2021 along with teammate Chase Elliott.

The No.5 HMS driver will be looking to make the best start in the Cup Series season after his comeback in the sports.
