Set to make his Snowball Derby, Chase Elliott compared the event with his run in the Playoff which led to his Championship win.

After winning the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series championship, Elliott is looking to win his third Snowball Derby. He is set to participate in the 53rd annual Snowball Derby this week at the Five Flags SpeedwayHe previously won it in 2011 and 2015.

Elliott knows of the challenge that lies ahead of him if he wants to win the title the third time, calling the derby a “massive challenge.

He went on to compare the event with his Playoff run during his Championship win. During the run, he won the must-win third race of the Round of 8.

“I never really thought of it like that. Obviously, it’s one of those situations where you either perform or go home. Much like the end of the Playoff run was for us.”

Elliott said that he was proud of his team’s efforts to help him get where they are now. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has previously said that racing in multiple disciplines will only help him as a driver.

He will certainly be pumped up to not let another trophy go.
