Kyle Larson returns to the NASCAR after some off-track drama sidelined him for most of the 2020 season, he will be back in action with the Hendrick Motorsports team for the upcoming 2021 campaign.
Former NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt Jr spoke about the 28-year old in a recent interview following his return to the sport.
He Stated, “I feel like with Kyle Larson coming in, he needs a rebranding. He needs a fresh start. I also know that the #5 number is extremely sentimental to Rick Hendrick. It’s his first number in the Cup Series.”
The #88 ride will make way for the #5. For a long time, the #88 was a mainstay, but now the team has decided to bring back the #5.
