After his four-year partnership with Richard Petty Motorsports ended, Bubba Wallace thanked all the respective people who helped him.
Wallace is set to join Michael Jordan-Denny Hamlin partnered 23XI Racing team from the 2021 season. This brings an end to his Cup career with RPM. However, since it was RPM who gave Wallace his breakthrough in the Cup Series, Wallace feels that he is indebted to them for his achievements. Speaking about such, he said:
“It’s been a great year, three years. It’s crazy that it’s already been three years.
“Thank you to Richard ‘The King’, thank you to Dale, everyone who took me under their wing. To believe in a kid like me, to pilot the race car, the iconic #43. I don’t know what to say other than thank you.”
He also said that finishing 15th in the 2020 season was a great way to end the season, and it will help him build momentum for the next season.
Wallace has always reiterated that RPM was like a second family to him. Additionally, he was also helped by the fact that expectations were not very high for him in the No. 43 car.
However, as he begins his new journey with his new team, expectations will be high for the driver.
