Chase Briscoe credited his No. 98 team in the Xfinity Series for his impending move to the Cup Series with Stewart-Haas Racing in 2021.
It was announced that Briscoe would replace Clint Bowyer in the No. 14 Ford from the next season. This means that this will be the last chance for Briscoe to win the Xfinity Series title.
With just one race left with his Xfinity team, Briscoe thanked the team for the success he has had in his career. He said:
“You always want to go out on top. Any time you leave a team or any series, you want to be on top. You want to feel like you didn’t leave anything out on the table.
“I’ve been super fortunate to win at the last race of the season in ARCA and Trucks.
“Hopefully the third time continues to be that way. You definitely want to reward those guys. I’ve been with the #98 team for two and a half years now, and without them, there’s no way I’d be moving on to the #14.”
Winning the championship will be the icing on the cake for Briscoe who is set to begin his Cup career in 2021 regardless of the consequences.
