Bubba Wallace said that he thrives under pressure and is ready to live up to expectations for his new 23XI Racing team.

Speaking to CBS This Morning, Wallace said:

“Pressure is kinda my middle name and I guess that I’ll have to deliver the best that I can. I think I perform well under pressure.”

Wallace is yet to win a Cup race in his NASCAR Cup Series career. While the expectations are not as high at Richard Petty Motorsports, he will be expected to deliver at his new team.

Additionally, he will be under more scrutiny as the bar is already set high for Denny Hamlin-Michael Jordon’s partnered team.

While many also expect that the team can turn out to be contenders from their next year together, Denny Hamlin said that he expects the team to be competing for wins right away.
