Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick battled for the lead in the last lap of the second stage at Kansas Speedway.
While Joey Logano might have won the first race of the Round of 8 of the 2020 Playoffs and booked his spot for the race in Phoenix, this stretch of run between Hamlin and Harvick was one of the defining periods of the race.

Harvick finished second in the race and Hamlin 15th. Harvick is now 41 points above the cutline and Hamlin 20.
Brad Keselowski is on the last spot, 8 points above the cutline. Before the race, he said that he could catch Hamlin.
“Denny is not completely out of my reach. He’s 19 points in front of me…So I think I’ve got a shot at legitimately racing him on points, but probably the others don’t. With respect to that, I think Kevin’s a pretty good ways away from everybody,”
