Monday, October 19 20202, NASCAR has officially announced the reinstatement of six-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson, putting an end of the 28-y-o 7-month ban handed to him back in April for the use of a racial slur in a public iRacing event.

Kyle Larson will be reinstated effective January 1st, 2021 according to NASCAR the California-native has since lost his race-winning NASCAR Cup Series car at Chip Ganassi Racing, along with major sponsors.

“I’m truly grateful to everyone at NASCAR and appreciative of their process. The work I’ve done over the last six months has had a major impact on me. I will make the most of this opportunity and look forward to the future.”

“NASCAR continues to prioritize diversity and inclusion across our sport. Kyle Larson has fulfilled the requirements set by NASCAR, and has taken several voluntary measures, to better educate himself so that he can use his platform to help bridge the divide in our country. Larson’s indefinite suspension has been lifted. Under the terms of his reinstatement, he will be cleared to return to all NASCAR racing activities effective January 1st, 2021”

Larson has been the name the favorite to take over Hendrick Motorsports’ NASCAR Cup Series vacancy for 2021, a rumor that seems more and more likely following the reinstatement of the 28-year-old.

  1. Nascar should stick to racing and leave the politics & political correct ****** to the L. Larson if he were smart would stick to his current venue where you can race without having to be an apologetic p. After the Bubba ****** crying about how he couldn’t drive because he saw a confederate flag , flags now banned and Bubba still can’t drive what’s next , give him two lap reparations head start so he can win? Love Nascar racing but they will kill the sport if they try to model themselves after the ball sports cave ins

    Thank you Nascar. Kyle is a fine young man and driver. He deserves a second chance. I am an 85 yr old race fan since a little girl. The best of the best has at one time or another has messed up, but have always turned their lives around for the better. Hope Mr. Hendrick gives him a ride.
