According to Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern, Erik Jones is in discussion with Richard Petty Motorsports regarding a move there in 2021.
Jones will depart Joe Gibbs Racing at the end of the 2020 season as the team decided to relieve Jones from his responsibilities there. The move allowed their development driver Christopher Bell to take over the No. 20 Toyota from next season.
As for now, Jones is currently looking for a new ride for the 2021 season and as per Stern, he may as well have found his new team.

Bubba Wallace decided to quit Richard Petty Motorsports for a new team based on a partnership between Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordon, leaving Richard Petty Motorsports the need to fill their vacant No. 43 seat.
Could Jones be the driver to replace Wallace?

So Jones is done with Gibbs at the end of 2020, and is in discussions with Petty to take over the Wallace vacancy caused by Hamlin and Jordon. I think I got it.
