After a poor showing by his standards in the Round of 12, Kevin Harvick is confident to turn out strong performances in the next two races.
The Stewart-Haas Racing driver already has a career-best nine wins to his name. He failed to win any of the races in the Round of 12, but he must surely be looking at the upcoming tracks at Kansas and Texas to grab his 10th win of the season.
“I think these race tracks are right up our alley. Especially the first two,” Harvick said speaking about the next two races at Kansas Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. “I think as you line up the first two races, they’re definitely right in our wheelhouse.”
Speaking about the race at Charlotte Roval where he finished 11th, Harvick said:
“I think as you look back, the Roval has been a good, decent race track for us. The last couple of years it was fine. This weekend I got us behind, running in the back of the car, and tried to figure out what I needed to do in the wet conditions. In the end, we had a sixth or seventh place car. I think as you look at that it was fine.”
As for the races at Talladega and Vegas where he finished 20th and 10th respectively, he said:
“Talladega, you know, was just Talladega. Vegas we just missed it a little bit.”
