After making it to the Round of 8, Joey Logano feels that he has a “good shot” to feature for the 2020 NASCAR Championship 4.
The 2018 Champion finished second in the cutoff race of the Round of 12, solidifying his position in the Round of 8. As the great unknown of Charlotte Roval has been surpassed, Logano is confined about his chances of making into the Championship 4.
“I feel great about where we’re at. I told my wife before we left, I just got to get through today. I feel like we got a good shot at getting to the Championship 4.
“This is such an unknown. This is what had my stomach in knots. Like I said, I’m glad to get through it. I feel really good about our chances.”
The No. 22 Team Penske Ford driver said that the penultimate race of the Round of 12 gave him confidence.
“I feel great. We’ve had good speed. I look at Vegas, if we didn’t get the damage, get trapped down a lap there for a minute. We were really good there, capable of winning.”
Logano fancies his chances at the elimination race of Round of 8 at Martinsville Speedway.
“I look at Martinsville as one of our best races. Texas wasn’t bad for us either.”
He has one win, one top-five finish and one top-10 finish at the track.
